Embedded C Software Engineer - Formula 1 Applications
A requirement for an embedded C software engineer to support the development activities for on car electronic control specifically within the BIOS development team. The current systems employ the latest PowerPC-based devices from Freescale (Motorola). The majority of the software is C, with some assembler and microcode where required time critical areas. The PowerPC development activities employ a commercial Real Time Operating System with our proprietary BIOS, the race support teams code under our proprietary systems. Exposure to interrupt driven software, the ability to work down to register level and an understanding of the target hardware environment are necessary.
Experience with the design process from concept to design, implementation and test. Ability to understand and resolve problems at both system and code level. At least 2 years` experience of developing high quality C and assembler for
embedded systems A team player with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a multi-discipline, multi-project environment
Approximately 2 year’s industrial experience, although an outstanding candidate could come directly from University.

· ASAP 2 · Automotive experience Honours degree (preferably 1st or upper 2nd) in a relevant subject such as Computing,
Software Design or Electronics.
