Geotechnical Engineer - Site Agent
Salary: Neg
Location: South East;London
One of the country`s leading environmental consulting companies seeks an experienced geotechnical engineer for their Southeast London office.
The ideal candidate will have had experience of the site-based co-ordination of field operatives, competency in logging to BS 5930 and factual data management with a ground investigation contractor.
Have had practical experience in most common ground investigation techniques including the installation of monitoring instrumentation. Be able to co-ordinate site activities with a variety of sub-contractors and achieve quality within timely programming.
Have carried out the role of checking and validating preliminary site based geotechnical information with forward transmittal to the office.
Be able to efficiently report to the Contracts manager and other senior project team members on day to day technical, organisational and financial matters. Co-ordinate regular site meetings.
Represent the company as site health and safety co-ordinator including taking site inductions, recording of appropriate details and reporting of incidents etc.
You should have a minimum of 3 years post graduate with a Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or Engineering Geology. London Underground experience and safety training desirable, but not essential.
