We are an online publisher looking for a full-time lead developer/hacker to help grow our business through rapid feature development. The ideal candidate enjoys programming challenges, works well in a collaborative environment, and will bring ideas to the table that will help the company meet its business goals. We are looking for someone who has strong front end and back end skills, a good sense of user experience and interaction design, who is well versed in social web integration (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), and who has a good sense of humor.
Requirements
• Deep LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP) environment experience
• Minimum 4 years of strong Object Oriented design and programming experience
• Experience with relational database design using MySQL 5
• Experience with implementing scalable applications on high volume content sites
• Experience optimizing db queries
• Experience with caching schemes for user sessions and content usage data
• Standards-compliant XHTML, CSS, Javascript, and AJAX experience
• Experience optimizing for mobile browsers
• Experience working in a team environment and familiarity with a code repository system
• Experience with building content management systems
• Experience syndicating data through feeds and api`s
• Experience in tracking, analtyics, and reporting
