Paid Marketing Intern in Boutique Real Estate Office-part-time (15-20 hours per week).
J Lemle Real Estate is a family-owned company located in Manhattan`s Upper East Side. Having owned and operated property throughout Manhattan for over a century, our goal is to bestow city apartments that combine the classic charm of “Old New York,” with the best of modern amenities to meet today’s standards of luxury.
Our firm is currently seeking an ambitious intern who is passionate about marketing and the business of real estate. This individual should be highly motivated, detail-oriented, computer-savvy, extremely organized with the ability to think fast, communicate effectively and have a proactive attitude to assist the marketing and administrative departments.
This will be an opportunity for the right candidate to gain firsthand knowledge about the residential real estate market in New York City, and to learn hands-on how to employ marketing, branding and public relations techniques that yield results. For that individual with a background or degree in marketing (or similar field,) this is a chance to put education and theory into practice. For the right individual, this could be an exciting approach to grow within the company and pursue one`s career objectives.
Internship job duties include but are not limited to the following:
• Assisting with marketing research.
• Assisting the Director of Marketing in the execution of long-term branding, marketing and company visibility strategies.
• Contributing to the preparation of sales and presentation materials.
• Assisting in the creation and production of listing advertisements.
• Driving company’s online visibility and social networking: Daily maintenance of listing advertisements, Craigslist account, Facebook, Twitter, third-party realty websites, etc.
• Project-based assignments.
• Participation in brainstorming sessions.
• General administrative duties (handling the phones, filing, faxing, emailing, mailing.)
• Utilization of real estate software to enter data, schedule showing appointments, submit new listings, generate stats reports, etc.
• Accurately representing our product to provide exemplary service to clients and brokers. (Involves developing personal knowledge of inventory and will ultimately prepare the intern to show apartments to prospective tenants.)
The ideal candidate should:
• Be highly motivated, an outgoing individual with a “can-do” attitude.
• Be able to multi-task and work in a team capacity.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and meticulous regard for detail.
• Have the ability to handle multi-faceted projects.
• Exhibit professionalism and unfaltering follow through.
• Prove a commitment to the quality of their work and display a sense of responsibility.
• Possess analytical skills and have a solid work ethic.
• Be proficient in both Mac and PC with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) and Internet marketing. Knowledge of Adobe programs such as Dreamweaver, InDesign, Illustrator, etc. is a plus!
• Command a genuine interest in real estate and/or marketing and be willing and eager to learn, take on assignments and contribute to our objectives.
• Currently be pursuing or have a minimum of a 4-year college degree. Exposure to real estate/marketing/PR is a plus.
