Brooklyn Industries is seeking an Assistant Technical Designer
Brooklyn Industries is a cutting edge design company that sells innovative, artistic and design-driven clothing exclusively through its stores and online website. Founded by visionary artists Lexy Funk and Vahap Avsar in 1998, the Brooklyn Industries’ stores are artistic havens engaging the local community in art, clothing, design and style. We have 12 stores in New York, Chicago and Portland and plan to open 50 within the next 5 years. This is an exciting time to be an integral member of our team.

This position will work closely with the Technical Designer to help provide accurate and timely workflow in the department.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:
• Measure samples
• Update fit tracking chart
• Attend and assist in fittings
• Organize fit samples
• Assist with fit comments
• Assist with tech pack updates
• Maintain and adhere to production calendar
Qualifications:
The qualifications required for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Associate or Bachelors Degree in Fashion related field
• Accurate and precise measurer
• 1-3 years technical design experience
• Computer proficiency in Excel, Illustrator, Microsoft Outlook
• Strong organizational skills, must be detail oriented
• Knowledge of garment construction and basic patternmaking
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
