Provisioning & Transport Engineer

We are currently hiring a Provisioning and Transport Engineer to manage

• Work on projects in North East markets as a Transport team member;

• Create work orders,

• Build paths, segments and ensure data integrity in Granite

• Must be familiar with creating ASR`s and following up with the LEC and vendors

• Provide weekly reports

Opportunity may require travel and off hour work.

Project Manager (Wireless, Telecom)

Job Description

• Ability to provide guidance and direction, identify key objectives and priorities, define scope of work meet and exceed stakeholder expectations regarding communication and quality of service

• Proven experience with RF engineering and wireless topologies and applications

• Proven experience with Wireless predictive modeling tools and software

• Responsible for the development and delivery of detailed status reports containing financial results, physical progress, productivity schedule and other issues, changes in scope etc. for projects under his/her responsibility.

• Exhibits a superior ability to work independently performing site surveys for estimates, proposal preparation, or quality assurance. Provides documentation, reports, and information to operations as directed.

• Constantly monitors projects for P&L margins to meet or exceed estimates

• Recognizes changes to the contracted Scope of Work and presents supporting documentation required for Customer approval of Requests for Changes.

• Initiates and monitors installation standards, and technical and supervisory training (OJT) sessions for Technicians and junior crewmembers.

•

• Service address and circuit delivery verification

• CFA assignment verification for circuit orders prior to assigning work to provisioning

• Telco order status database maintenance

• Ensure proper assignments and record status in client’s work order tool

• Coordinate between Wireless Network Operator, LEC, other partners and provisioning groups

• Coordinate with groups within Wireless Network Operator, such as Switch & Data Translations

• Communicate with the market managers regarding provisioning schedule deficiencies due to construction or any additional issues to prevent work stoppages

• Work with market field operations team to confirm site is ready for T1 delivery if additional equipment, conduit, power, backboard, drops as necessary

• Coordinate site inspection when requested by the LEC

• Coordinate the completion of HV study when necessary

• Verify billing requests are received, approved, and PO issued to continue LEC work

• Site walks to determine telco feasibility and route

• Manage move orders for new telco runs

• Monitor QORA order is in process

• Work with LEC Field Engineers, Field Testers, Service managers, and Field Techs to test and turn up

Prior experience with national cellular wireless networks is a plus Excellent knowledge of RAN Topology, Access Transport (ATM) Aggregation Strategy, Physical Port layout and connections between various wireless and Wireline nodes. Actively contribute to improvements and drive change. Excellent written and verbal communication skills The position requires a strong desire to excel with network design/performance improvement, through detailed technical investigation and analysis

Must be customer focused and results oriented Be able to work during night time maintenance window on regular basis from Sunday Thursday nights.

Job Description

• Understanding UMTS layer 2 switching concepts and layer 3 IP routing protocols Experience in analyzing and troubleshooting UMTS transport network and performance issues.

• Working knowledge on UMTS Packet Core and Switches Network architecture. Working knowledge on ATM, IP and Transport connectivity such as T1, DS3, OC3, OC12 and OC48.

• Able to interpreted Ericsson TND, Nortel CIQ, Engineering Design Package (EDP) from ATT for MSN (Tellabs and ALU boxes) and DACS (Tellabs)

• Demonstrate expert level knowledge of commissioning and integration of UMTS transport network between various wireless and Wireline nodes

• Working knowledge on transport design and integration of the Alcatel 7670 RSP-ESE/Tellabs 8600/8860 and DACS products.

• Proficient in creating scripts based on ALU/Tellabs/Cisco MSN products for various rehome/rebalance/reconfiguration and template change activities for wireless networks.

• Perform network optimization and network performance audits

Prior experience with national cellular providers wireless networks is a plus Excellent knowledge of RAN Topology, Access Transport (ATM) Aggregation Strategy, Physical Port layout and connections between various wireless and Wireline nodes.

Ability to solve complex problems that require substantial analysis and investigation related to network and system performance. Actively contribute to improvements and drive change. Excellent written and verbal communication skills The position requires a strong desire to excel with network design/performance improvement, through detailed technical investigation and analysis
