Manhattan based Information Technology consulting firm seeks a candidate for systems engineer position to work with our growing client base in the NYC metro area. The position requires an exceptional individual who is a great team player, yet can work independently and manage their time well, and present a professional image to our clients. Our firm is at the forefront of new technologies, so the position is a great opportunity for a tech junky who can think on their feet and would like to be part of our growing team.
Responsibilities of the position include:
* Design, implementation, support, and continual maintenance of client networks.
* Timely diagnoses of, response to and resolution of client support cases, both onsite and remote.
* Analysis of networks and consistent recommendations for improvements.
* Strictly monitored documentation of all work done for clients.
Only those who meet the following requirements need apply:
* REQUIRED: Current Microsoft Certified Professionals, but preferred MCITP, with specialties in Exchange 2007 or Sharepoint 2007
* 3-5 Years experience working as a Level 2 network engineer or network administrator
* Experience working with Microsoft Small Business Server 2008 R2, Blackberry Enterprise Server and Windows 7
* Expert-level understanding of networking protocols: TCP/IP, DHCP, SMTP, SMNP, LDAP, DNS, VPN, Kerberos and Network Security appliances such as Cisco Security appliances (SA, ASA, PIX), proxy servers, anti-spam/junk mail appliances (Barracuda, Fortinet).
* Experience with desktop support and network troubleshooting.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
*Cisco VOIP Phone administration/Cisco certifications/experience a very big plus.
