Technology firm is seeking an expert and passionate technologist for a senior engineering role. Please respond only if you have the following skill set:
1. Linux/Unix and Open Source Involvement.
You must be engaged and involved in the open-source community with expertise in Linux or BSD, opensource security and networking tools with the ability to install, configure, implement and troubleshoot a variety of solutions on a Linux/UNIX platform. Scripting skillset a definite plus.
2. Networking Expertise.
You must have expertise in implementation and troubleshooting of wired and wireless layer 2 and layer 3 protocols including spanning tree, vlans, OSPF, and BGP. IPv6 knowledge and expertise a definite plus.
3. Security Expertise.
Strong expertise in a variety of security tools including firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Application Proxies. Detailed knowledge in protocol and application function and operational security mandatory. Experience with Palo Alto Networks a plus.
4. Technical Documentation
Must be able to properly and articulately document and diagram designs, implementations and configurations.
Most importantly the applicant must be extremely passionate about technology and have a thirst for Knowledge.
