Description
Equinox Fitness Clubs, the premier fitness company in the industry, is looking for a qualified Fitness Manager to join an atmosphere defined by energy and professionalism. We operate upscale, full-service fitness facilities in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, Boston, Washington D.C. and Dallas. We offer an integrated selection of Equinox-branded programs, services and products, including strength and cardio training, group fitness classes, personal training, spa services, apparel and food/juice bars.
We are currently looking for an energetic, creative, enthusiastic Fitness Manager to join the Equinox team. This is a great position for a candidate looking to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic organization. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
•Drive personal training sales through the highest level of customer service, quality of personal training sessions and continued growth of the Personal Training department.
•Develop the academic and practical skill sets of the Personal Training staff.
•Co-manage the member services program including proper on-boarding of new members and special events for all members.
•Establish and maintain the highest standards of quality for the personal training program.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have the following experience, skills, and education:
•Minimum 1 year of previous management experience in the Health and Fitness industry. Previous responsibility for driving revenue preferred.
•Proven ability to coach and develop staff.
•Proven ability to generate significant personal training sales.
•Proven ability to successfully operate in a high-end, customer service driven atmosphere.
•Excellent communication, time management, organizational and follow-up skills.
•2-3 years of previous experience as a Personal Trainer preferred.
•Undergraduate degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Ex. Physiology or related in Health and Fitness field preferred
•Current CPR/AED certification.
•Current national personal training certification.
•Computer literacy.
