Consulting practice carbonRational is in the center of the burgeoning field of business strategies to address climate change and sustainability. We seek a candidate who is interested in attaining valuable experience in the forefront of the transformation of business to the sustainable paradigm and who brings expertise and interest in growing a business. Marketing skills are a plus - both new social media marketing as well as the use of more traditional channels. Our principal, Andrew McKeon, has been a sought after thought leader on management issues related to climate change and sustainability. He has been a keynote speaker at such organizations as NASA, the United Nations, Citigroup, and NYU; he has worked with Al Gore and The Climate Project in raising awareness on climate change; and he has had articles on sustainability and climate change appear on GreenBiz.com, ClimateBiz.com, and Reuters. carbonRational`s focus on clients begins with education, then communication, consultation and finally implementation around solutions to climate change and securing sustainable practices.
The position would be unpaid for three months, approximately 20 hours a week with independent working conditions. Candidates holding or seeking graduate degrees are preferred. A paid position could result from this internship depending on market conditions.
