Job Description

Sales – Associate General Manager



Position Summary:

The Associate General Manager (“AGM”) supports Araca’s General Manager of Retail Operations and sales teams. The AGM is responsible for processing payroll on a company-wide basis, for reviewing retail sales performances and expenses and for strategizing with the Retail Operations team to improve efficiency. The AGM reports directly to the General Manager of Retail Operations; s/he will also work closely with the Directors of Finance and Sales.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Payroll

• Process weekly payroll entry in accordance with payroll service and deadlines

• Coordinate with Sales Department to receive complete sales staff information

• Calculate retail employees’ sales commissions

• Record payroll into accounting software

• Process 401(k) contributions and enter into accounting software

• Track state payroll taxes as needed

• Process TransitCheck withholdings

• Process unemployment claims

• Process garnishment notices

• Respond to state tax notices

• Maintain accurate employee information in Paychex and Ascensus databases



Sales

• Review and analyze sales numbers and sales force compensation by location

• With General Manager, advise retail managers on staffing and compensation levels

• Collect data and process reports for Araca’s Director of Sales



Additional Payroll-related duties

• Process employee reimbursements

• Enter health insurance invoices, tracking new hires and terminations

• Invoice former employees for COBRA benefits

• Track and collect amounts receivable from employees for personal expenses





Job Qualifications

• College degree or comparable work experience.

• Computer-literate, proficient in Excel and Word.

• Highly organized and attentive to detail.

• Familiarity with theater a plus.

• 1-2 years experience in accounting, payroll or theatrical company management preferred.
