Burford Group, the leading commercial dispute investor (www.burfordgroupltd.com), is seeking a Business Development and Marketing Manager to work in its New York City office.
The principal function of this position will be to work closely with and support the activities of Selvyn Seidel, one of Burford`s founders who is in charge of business development activities.
Business development for Burford encompasses promoting Burford`s activities to law firms and major corporations and dealing with inquiries concerning potential investment possibilities. The Manager will engage in outreach and marketing of Burford, arrange meetings for him/herself and Mr. Seidel, follow-up on meetings, track and report on activity, liase with PR professionals, prepare and revise marketing materials and all other related business development and marketing activities.
This position requires an intelligent, articulate professional with superb organizational and interpersonal skills who can deal effectively with senior lawyers and corporate executives.
A four-year college degree followed by some relevant experience is essential; an advanced degree and/or familiarity with the legal marketplace and investment management is highly desirable.
Compensation is a base salary (with benefits) with the possibility of a bonus based on future fund investment performance.
