Our client is one of the major players within the travel industry with impressive year on year growth. They have a global infrastructure and currently employ 5000 staff with an annual turnover in excess of Ј1 billion, operating out of 1000 retail outlets. The UK is now the main focus for the business, having been identified as the region with the greatest potential for growth. As a result of this they have created a new role for a Senior Financial Controller who will operate at both a strategic and operational level. You will be responsible for the financial planning of a division of the group, working in partnerships with other senior management to help produce a consolidate UK business plan. In addition you will need to develop financial reporting to manage and pro-actively raise the level of professionalism and quality of information produced within your team of 8. This is a very hands on role for a commercially mind qualified accountant, wishing to undertake the challenge of working within a global organisation. You will need proven leadership and change management skills, previous experience of working within a large multi sited organisation and have strong analytical skills and be confident to draw on intuitive business decisions.
