BIOTECHNOLOGY SALES SPECIALIST
Part time position available for the Tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut). We are seeking a highly motivated and independent sales specialist to represent our proprietary and innovative products and services.
The sales specialist will be primarily responsible for identifying and developing a portfolio of prospective customers and selling the appropriate products and services to them. Regular on-site visits to customer locations in companies and universities are needed. We prefer candidates who have established or worked with a scientific customer base in which to offer and sell life sciences products. The position may also include calling a target list of potential customers, as well as following up with leads from trade shows, various marketing campaigns, and referrals from existing customers.
Responsibilities:
Identifying appropriate customers and offering products from the Epigentek portfolio
Scheduling on-site visits and obtaining customer referrals, some travel required
Customer prospecting and lead qualification by telephone and email
Targeting new opportunities and following up on leads from marketing campaigns and trade shows
Manage qualified leads and maintaining a long-term, healthy relationship with new and existing customers
Working closely and communicating with our marketing and sales team to provide customers with requested literature, marketing campaigns, and price quotes
Learning and gaining technical expertise from our R&D and technical support team
Tracking and reporting progress of sales and key opportunities
Qualifications:
Bachelor`s degree in Biology or similar from accredited college or university, or related work experience
3 or more years in business-to-business/business-to-person selling experience in the life sciences industry and have handled customer accounts
Excellent knowledge of sales techniques such as lead generation, networking, and most importantly, capability to close the sale
Highly self motivated and capable of making smart, independent decisions
Location: New York Tri State
Compensation: Competitive base salary with high commission, also negotiable based on experience
