Our client, an experiential marketing agency, is in need of a freelance Production Coordinator. This person will be responsible for interfacing between designers and the studio manager, trafficking information, and routing projects around the office.
What we’re looking for:
-- Someone with production experience (whether it be print production, event production, etc.) paired with some graphics experience. We’re not looking for a print production expert, but someone that has general print knowledge and has basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
-- Someone that takes direction well and follows process – not someone who thinks they’re an expert and will try and run the show, change things, etc.
-- An expert multi-tasker – you’ll have a lot of projects going on at once. You must be organized, focused, and able to handle several things at once.
The people that typically do well in this role come from a traffic coordinator or design studio background, or even an internal client-side traffic or production role. This is not a traditional agency, and they don’t build mechanicals (they have a partner agency to do that), so extensive print production skills are usually not a good fit for this role. Much of what is being produced is internal communications (sales guides, internal product promotions, etc.) for large-brand clients.
Personality and attitude are key -- we`re looking for someone with a go-getter attitude who always has the "what can I do to help?" mentality. Great teamwork and communication skills are a must!
