Entrepreneurial Chief Engineer/Webmaster wanted for exciting consumer-facing startup.
We are seeking an entrepreneurial digital media and web genius to take ownership of large features/services and a key role in setting the technical direction of a (future) great company.

General Experience
The successful candidate will have a strong list of live sites and urls they have worked on and will be able to demonstrate development experience on one or more of the following types of web applications (in order of preference):
1. CMS systems
2. User generated content management and display
3. CRM systems (user registration / data capture)
4. Database driven websites
5. Social Networking sites
6. E-commerce sites
Start up Experience is a plus.
Analysis Skills
• Ability to understand business needs and lead the technical implementation
• Ability to follow functional specifications and translate into code
• Ability to design the system and database schemas
• Respond responsibly to aggressive deadlines
Technical Skills
• 3-5 years of web development experience
• Exposure to end-to-end software development including conceptualizing, designing, developing, launching and maintaining consumer web applications
• Web application development using PHP
• Javascript development
• Build XHTML/CSS 2.0 web pages to precisely match design
• Also able to demonstrate excellent use of Classic ASP, HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML.
• Also possesses other strong web application development programming skills a plus i.e. with Joomla, LMS, Python, and Ruby
• Object Orientated development and design experience
• SQL and Relational Database design, development and maintenance
• Web Server / OS administration and configuration a plus
• Ensure web sites use fully semantic mark up, are valid to W3C standards
• Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field
Compensation
Salary (above-market base + significant performance incentives) is contingent upon securing initial venture capital financing
